Prior to treatment we take a full case history including medicalinformation, followed by a physical exam of your posture and movement. Please bring any x-rays, scans (with reports) and specialist letters that relate to the area of pain.
Treatment is best performed on skin but can be performed over clothing. Attire suitable for light exercise – shorts, t-shirt or singlet for females is ideal. There may be times where it is necessary to expose areas of skin for medical assessment or treatment, but at all times our patient’s comfort and wellbeing is of paramount importance. At the end of the sessions there should be opportunity to discuss issues regarding lifestyle, diet and exercise.
Allow approx. 1 hour for the initial assessment, but follow up sessions typically last 30 and 40 minutes.
Treatment depends upon your condition and a course of treatment can vary but is usually between 3 and 5 sessions. Be aware that chronic conditions can take longer. We do encourage some exercise rehabilitation as pain reduces to prevent future relapse.
